Reflecting on the Body: Creating and Losing Power

Jana
Bailey works in a multi-media format, utilizing plaster, paint, gold and
silver leaf, as well as photography and other media. Janas project stems
from her interest in womens complicated relationships with their bodies.
Creating the pieces has been an interesting and valuable process for her
and she hopes for the women who participated in the project as well.
Jana's artwork was on display in the Center for Women's Studies and Gender Research, 3324 Turlington Hall, through May 18th, 2001.
